A banjo field recording from late summer, 2017. Recorded at Jimmy's childhood home in Springwood, Blue Mountains.

Jimmy Daley is a driving force in the well-known Sydney bluegrass band, The Morrisons. He writes a sizeable portion of the material, shares vocal duties with eponymous bandleader, James Morrison, and just generally plays ALL the instruments.

I caught up with him the night before The Morrison's hometown album launch in Katoomba.  We talked through a broad range of deeply pressing banjo related topics such as Jimmy's rough guide to respectful cultural appropriation, our mutual love of Paul Simon and the song writing benefits of Sydney's housing affordability crisis.
