About Us

In 2007, The Football Ramble was born out of Luke Moore, Pete Donaldson, Marcus Speller and Jim Campbell’s passion for the most popular sport in the world—as well as a shared inability to take themselves too seriously. Since then, the boys have come a very long way: from a best-selling book to sold out live shows.

Now, with the return of football post-lockdown, the Football Ramble brings you daily episodes of equal parts insight and hilarity. All this and more, Monday through Saturday. Lend us your ears and we’ll keep you up to date with the latest stories from the Premier League and all around Europe, all with an eye for both the sublime and the ridiculous.

Football struggles amidst the pandemic, Les Ferdinand calls for action, and a thirteen-second Estonian debut

Despite most of last night’s Carabao Cup matches going ahead - with Spurs vs Leyton Orient postponed after positive coronavirus tests - football continues to operate in precarious times. Kate, Andy and Jim are back in the studio to discuss some games that did happen, with Newport County continuing their impressive cup streak and Brentford knocking out West Brom on penalties. Elsewhere, we discuss Les Ferdinand’s comments around teams taking a knee ahead of matches and celebrate the arrival of Alex Morgan to an increasingly stacked WSL. We even find time time for a youngster’s debut in Estonia that saw him substituted thirteen seconds after the kick-off! How odd… Search ‘Football Ramble’ on social media to find us, and email us at our brand new address:show@footballramble.com ***Please take the time to rate and review us on Apple Podcastsor wherever you get your pods. Manchester City get back at it, Zlatan Ibrahimović defies ageing, and animal stadium invasions

Marcus, Jim and Andy are here after a paisley-draped Man City saw off a spirited fight from Wolves last night, while Aston Villa got a much-needed result over Sheffield United. We also look over some of football’s everlasting constants, as Zlatan Ibrahimović scored yet again and alpacas invade lower league matches. Meanwhile, Diego Simeone’s evil empire continues to grow: Luis Suárez and Diego Costa may soon be their strike partnership. My word.
